This shot, taken sometime in Spring, utilised my trusted Canon EOS 5D Mark IV paired with the versatile EF28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens. I selected an aperture of f/5.6 to achieve a reasonable depth of field, ensuring both the couple and the immediate surroundings remained in focus. A shutter speed of 1/80s was chosen to guarantee sharpness, especially crucial in capturing moments of movement. The ISO was set at 2500, a conscious decision to manage the indoor light levels effectively, embracing a slight artistic grain if present. With a focal length of 90.0mm, I achieved a wonderfully close-up perspective, drawing the viewer into the heart of the ceremony. No flash was needed, allowing the natural ambiance of the church to illuminate the scene. This truly was a unique East-meets-West celebration at the Upper Stratton Baptist Church, the UK ceremony part of an extended wedding journey for Jordan and Fiona.
