Achieving this look involved selecting the right gear and settings. I used my reliable Canon EOS 5D Mark III paired with the versatile Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM lens. Setting the aperture to f/5.6 provided a good balance of sharpness on the subject while allowing for a slight, pleasing separation from the background. A shutter speed of 1/250s was ample to ensure sharpness, and keeping the ISO at 100 minimised noise for a clean result. The 35mm focal length offered a natural perspective, perfect for this studio setting. These technical choices support the artistic vision, resulting in a high-quality final image.
