Technical Approach
This image was captured using a Canon EOS 90D with an EF-S24mm f/2.8 STM lens. The 24mm focal length is excellent for capturing environmental portraits, allowing us to include enough of the stunning #villageofLacock setting without distorting the subject. The wide aperture of f/2.8 was chosen to create a pleasing depth of field, gently blurring the background pathway while keeping the subject sharply in focus – a technique often used to make the subject stand out. A shutter speed of 1/160s and ISO 100 were appropriate for the bright afternoon light, freezing any slight movement and ensuring clean, noise-free results. These technical choices were made to support the artistic vision and deliver high-quality #FashionPhotography.
