This significant moment was captured during a summer ceremony at Reading School, using my trusted Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, paired with the versatile EF28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens. To achieve the desired depth of field, highlighting Dan and Amy while gently softening the background, I shot at f/5. The shutter speed of 1/160s was precisely fast enough to freeze any movement, preserving the crispness of their embrace. Given the interior lighting conditions, a high ISO of 32000 was necessary, carefully managed to minimise noise. A focal length of 70.0 mm provided a moderate telephoto perspective, allowing me to compose the shot without intruding on the intimate scene. No flash was required, relying on the natural ambient light to create that warm, inviting atmosphere.
